Emma Croft
 

Emma directed the short film Honest Lies, shot over 2 days following a successful Kickstarter campaign, which was shown as part of the London Short Film Festival 2015 at the Hackney Picturehouse. In 2017, she directed herself in the 5 minute short Left Hand Side for the Sci Fi 48hr Film Challenge.

An actor by trade, Emma graduated as ‘Most Outstanding Drama Student’ from the London Studio Centre. Her extensive acting credits include playing Rosalind in Christine Edzard’s film of Shakespeares As You Like It, as well as playing Benja in the movie, Smilla’s Sense of Snow and many more TV and film roles giving Emma a strong foundation to take on this dialougue centric, character driven story.

 

Having raised her son, Emma has returned to film and the creative industries in recent years, and is committed to working with like-minded people and collaborating on inspiring, unusual and important projects.  She is passionate about the stories of unheard voices, women’s stories, and difficult subjects being brought to the screen. 

Other recent collaborations include acting in Gabrielle Russell’s short film Falling, and involvement in the Other People’s Kisses segment of the first ever crowd-sourced feature film, 50 Kisses. She has also been working on a short experimental film which will go into post-production soon.
